Vienna.Knowledge.Week: 19-23 March 2018
Vienna 12.3.2018 / From 19-22 March 2018 the Vienna.Knowledge.Week will provide two core trainings in knowledge management, the KM Essentials and the KM Advanced training courses. These trainings provide companies and organizations the knowledge that is needed to implement and advance Knowledge Management successfully and to avoid mistakes that others have already made.
On March 21, the Knowledge for Development Partnership invites for a meeting specifically with international organizations and companies to discuss the specific KM opportunities and challenges in the international context.

Knowledge Cities World Summit 2017 in Arequipa, Peru
Arequipa 22.6.2017 / From 20-22 June 2017 the KCWS Knowledge City World Summit took place in Arequipa, Peru. Under the Leadership of the World Capital Institute and hosted by the Universidad Nacional de San Agustín the KCWS2017 addressed specifically challenges of Emerging Knowledge Cities.
Dr. Andreas Brandner presented the recently established Knowledge for Development Partnership and the concept of knowledge.city. At the end of the conference, Arequipa Knowledge Partnership was established to sustain the dialogue on the advancement of Arequipa as a Knowledge City.
The Most Admired Knowledge City Awards 2017 have been given to Austin (Knowledge City-Region), Barcelona (Knowledge Metropolis) and Arequipa (Emerging Knowledge City).
Inaugurationof K4DP – Knowledge for Development Partnership
Geneva 4.4.2017 / On 4 April 2017 the Knowledge for Development Partnership has been established as an international organisation at the Palais des Nations, the headquarter of the United Nations in Geneva. K4DP has been initiated and co-founded by Andreas Brandner, Managing Director of knowledge.city together with 170 key experts and pioneers in the field of Knowledge for Development. Its objective is to strengthen the achievement of the SDGs through better use of knowledge in societies.

Cluster Sofia Knowledge City established
Sofia 25.10.2016 / Based on the pioneering initiative of Sofia Knowledge City Ltd. a cluster of more than 40 companies, organisations, municipal public bodies and others has been formed a Cluster Sofia Knowledge City, which has been graned public funding for the advancement of Sofia as a Knowledge City.
Knowledge City World Summit 2016 / Knowledge for Development Summit
Vienna, 14.10.2016 / Knowledge Management Austria hosts the Knowledge City World Summit 2016 and the first Knowledge for Development Summit in Vienna. During this event the Knowledge Management Awards have been given to the global KM4Dev Community (www.km4dev.org) and to Dr. Ibrahim Seba, Knowledge Manager of Dubai Police. At this event the Agenda Knowledge for Development was presented for the first time. This event finally lead to the historic Knowledge for Development. Global Partnership Conference in Geneva at the UN Headquarters, where the Knowledge for Development Partnership was founded. See: www.k4dp.org.
